SOMETHING WAS LOST

In between the summers and winters that went by, the endless conversations were lost
In between the arguments and confrontations, the warmth  was lost
The calculative mind kept wondering, the emotions were lost
It was easy to blame and easier to hurt, the empathy was lost
The thought of I dominated, the US in between was lost
The gregarious laughter was lost, the curious glances were lost,
The admiring look was lost, the shared admiration was lost
Was it not meant to be? Among the hundred wrong things the right of love was lost.
